Master of the Nets
By EEUREKA | 1/5/2007 10:49:43 PM

If you decide to go to Suzhou for a visit make sure you stop by the Master of the Nets garden. It is the smallest garden in Suzhou, but is most well known because of its beauty. It was built in the 12th century, then abandoned until it was restored in the 18th century. This garden is one of the most beautiful gardens in all of Suzhou. You can walk through the old house and admire the beautiful architecture and magnificent woodwork. Take a few moments to sit and just enjoy the beautiful garden with its strange and wonderful trees and plants. This can be a very relaxing place to escape to after all the hussle and bussle of the city.

Art Museum
By KLUE | 8/6/2006 6:26:05 PM

The Nanjing Museum is a wonderful place to spend a lot of time. I got stuck in a most fascinating art (contemporary painter)show that I spent two days there...in just the show. So be sure to check out the temporary exhibits as well as the permanent collections. Also, the book store is a wonderland of books on Chinese art and I bought many volumes which will never be seen in the US. Additionally, there is a very lovely, quiet, air conditioned lunch, tea, ice cream parlor right next to the Museum.
