My first time to China. My University-professor husband speaks Toysan and perfect english. he was born in China and came to canada @age 8. We want to bring gifts from Canada that will be cherished. Need presents for a 1 yr old girl, a 21 yr old male, and the 4 coaches of the team (one man is Swedish). Desperately need advice!!! Canadian Crown Royal Whiskey and smoked salmon have been suggested. Will also be in Beijing on Nov 28 - dec 4 and want to know if Oriental Peace Hotel is clean and safe. also, Fuhao hotel. any advice about homestay? Joyce

For women, you can always buy cosmetics as gifts which is great. Simple brand names such as L'Oreal, Revolon is still very expensive in China. Hope that helps somewhat.
