PHOENIX Points: 408 Join Date: Dec 6, 2005 Status: offline	Chou Doufu Many customers at Shilin Night Market queue up for this snack called smelly doufu. I tried to eat it but I have not been able to take more than a bite. It is tasteless without the sauce but whoa!!! the smell is killing. It smells as bad as the sewer, maybe worse!! It is an acquired taste. Many have tasted it and like it very much. As for me, nothing taste good if it smells bad. Try it when visiting Taiwan, at Shilin Night Market.

I think it could kill me. I always nip my nose. hm....I hate it very much. It's so nasty. I have never eaten it and I also think I will not.

I was apprehensive at first because of the smell, but it definitely added something good to the broth! Very surprising. I guess we can try to compare stinky tofu with durian...the smell is off putting, but it is a great delicacy to many! I don't know if I would try it again though!
