GUESTSSMAN Hello again ELLYSE,

Good to meet you here. You have helped me in the past on Trip Advisor and VT.

I will be in Guangzhou early next month with a couple friends who are vegetarians. We will stay at the Majestic hotel in Tianhe Road. I would request you to suggest a veg eating place nearby so that we don't have to spend too much in taxis going to the places around Huanshi Road. Personally, I am happy with fish burgers at McDonalds and KFC!

Thanks again,

SSMan.

GUEST94179 I'm from the US and have been offered a position with my company in Guagzhou for three years. It's a great opportunity professionally and from a life experience perspective. My one concern is that I'm 34 and single. Are there communities for international expats? Any perspective would be immensely appreciated.

For a vegetarian restaurant near Majestic Hotel, try this one. Open 1100--2100.

GreenLand Vegetarian Cafe: 86 Zhongshan Dadao (west of the north gate of Jinan University)
绿园健康蔬食料理: 天河区中山大道西86号(暨南大学北门西侧)

GUEST46230 Hi I m from India.
I am going for an internship program in Guangzhou. I will get 800US$ for 2.5 months for covering my living allowances. Is this much amount sufficient?
If not what will it be?

Possible if accommodation is provided and you eat local food and use public transport, but it might be difficult.
