No limit when transfer money to your account, but there's limit when you draw money out of your account in Bank of China.

Get a multi-currency account and also get online banking enabled.

But check whether you can make payments in foreign currencies. I had a dual currency account but could not access the foreign currency outside the province in which the account was opened, not even to get it converted into RMB.

GUEST92206 I'm here from Canada on business.

I have been in China for 2 weeks now. I have been into three different banks to open a bank account. All of them said i could not open one for some reason. I never understood the reasons because i can't speak Chinese. I have photo id, my passport, money, credit cards and Canadian debt cards too. Can anyone give me some advice on how to achieve this. Thank you in advance.

You need proof of where you're living (could be a hotel or whatever) in China.

Yes, as long as you can prove you are the owner of your bank account.
