Yes, there are several international schools in Qingdao. But it seemed that the language they use is English. And some are korean.

To MOOG
This is the website of the newest International School in Qingdao, opened just last year.
http://www.ycis-qd.com
On the campus here in Chongqing there are several students who speak French at home, study in English and also learn Chinese.
You will find that a large percentage of the expat community are native English speakers or have English as the second language. Or as is the case in Shandong province, there is a large Korean community since they are close neighbours.
You could contact one of the International Schools and make inquiries if there are other French speaking students in the school. If so at least your children would have a small French speaking community while they study in English otherwise you may have to home school them.

I am moving from Shanghai to Qingdao April next year.
Is there someone could suggest where is the best place to live and how much would roughly cost for a three bedrooms, fully furnished apartment? I prefer close to city center.
Also is there any international standard hospital in Qingdao?
How do I get in touch with expat community here?
Thanks.

Hi Patty
There is a large expat community in Qingdao, including a few French. However, currently there are no French-speaking schooling opportunities.
Qingdao has 4 English-speaking international schools. The 3 largest teach from an American education system and the newest that Jabarootoo mentions is under the English-system.
Sizes of schools are in this order:
Qingdao MTi International School - oldest, largest; part of the International Schools of China group.
Qingdao International School of Shandong.
Qingdao American International School.
Yew Chung International School; part of the Yew Chung group out of Hong Kong.
If you click on these links you can read a little more about the schools:

Hope that helps.
