Hi Jarrod,
My family and I will possibly move to Qingdao in two months or so. Currently living in Sydney and are a bit curious what to expect there. Is it that great?

Qingdao is a great place and it's keeps getting better. There are a couple of options for all you that were mentioned earlier. www.qingdaoexpat.com is a good start to check and the people there are very helpful. They organize a couple of events each year for the community and I'm sure you'll find something nice to do with them.
For business related things there's a group called Qingdao Business Leaders which is building up a website now. They meet once a month for a meeting and once a month for a tour of a member's factory. People there can help with most things and are very easy going.
Pepi, if you come from Sydney then don't expect clean beaches ;-) But it's still good enough to hang out in the sunshine and go for a quick swim.

As I understand tuition rates at Qingdao MTi school for lower elementary are under your limit. All students proficient in English take Chinese everyday.
