ah yes, May, I agree that the belief that the ancestors know what is going on here, makes it quite different.

We had Ching Ming in New Zealand over Easter weekend. ANZAC Day was today - Cheers Chris.If you get a chance to read www.nzherald.co.nz there's a Chinese writer, Lincoln Tan. He did a great article this week. You'll have to google his name.Here's part of his story:

"If February is the month for love, then April must surely be the month dedicated to the dead.

This is the month when Christians remember the death of Jesus on Good Friday, Taoists/Buddhists remember their ancestors during the festival called Qing Ming, and New Zealanders too will be honouring their own glorious dead on Wednesday, Anzac Day."
