"In December, 2006, the first international tourist sea route from Hong Kong to Sanya and then on to Vietnam has been brought into use, marking a new step in Sanya's tourist industry."

Has anybody used this connection and can provide further details? How much is it, how long does the journey take?

Does this route also go from Sanya to Hong Kong?

Thx :))

there is a cruise (by star cruises) covering Sanya, eventually to Vietnam, HCMC i think but the cruise boards ifrom Singapore and lands in Hong Kong. It's kind of 5-6 days cruise package with only a few hours stop in each city...

i'm not aware of any other sea route to Sanya

Thx for the information. I but I do not like a cruise. I have just hoped that there is a cheaper connection from Sanya to Hong Kong than flying.

There are direct train from Sanya to Guangzhou, which will take you about 14 hours with the hard sleeper price CNY265. Then you can easily get to Kong Kong from Guangzhou.
