Beijing late October 24 to 30th... pretty chilly?
Oct 2, 2007 00:18
guest01136 Hi. I'm wondering if I need a very warm jacket for tour - Beijing, Xian, cruise on Yangtze, then Shanghai. We'll be walking the Great Wall- not sure exactly where, but am wondering just how cold it can get in early November. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks a lot. Margaret.

GUEST02965 We arrive in Beijing on Oct 28, and I have been told it can be quite cold, so a sweater and jacket is required, we leave Shanghai on Nov 12.
October is the most beautiful month, and August is just too hot.

Assuming you're on a Chinese boat for the 3 Gorges cruise, please have all the warm clothes that you can possibly have. The boats are damp and the blankets of no real use.
