GUESTFRA... I am a filipina and my fiancee an american. We are planning a 6day tour to shanghai and Beijing. Will we be required a visa. We are coming from the Philippines.

yes you all need visas. You can get forms on line or you can go to a Chinese Embassy/Consulate that issues them, or you can do it through many travel agencies - I prefer Chinese owned ones. The fee for the US person is much higher. You cannot normally get them at the Chinese border.

GUEST35221: If u r only going to HK there is no visa requirement for most nationalities.

There is a visa on arrival scheme for visitors from a few neighbouring counbtries. I have been told that some visitors are experiencing difficulties at the border. It seems there is a general tightening up running up to the Olympics. It would seem a good idea to get one in adfvance, just in case.

GuestLibra... If you are coming as a tourist you do not need to provide such things. I would recommend taking care to list cities you want to visit and friends' addresses because of the apparant tightening up I mentioned above.

hi!im kenyan by nationality,i wana go to guangzhou via hongkong,wil stay HKG for few days,i do understand that i can get hong kong visa on arrival,but how about Guangzhou visa,any idea if can get from hongkong anfd how long it takes.any contact for this guangzhou visa office?please help!
