GUEST81145	Need some advice people, I'm planning to work in Shenzen. Can I just travel there on visitor visa, and change that to a work one later? I've been told shenzen has a different procedure to other provinces. Any advice would be apreciated. Thanks

Shenzhen has a specialm visa for 5 day stays, and it is only available to about 6 nationalities. So you will need a tourist visa (L). To work you will need a Z visa It is supposed to be possible to obtain it on the Mainland now (I got thgat info from a Guangdong PSB office (Shenzhen is in Gd), but I haven't heard of anyone doing it this way. If you are unable to ypou can exit to Hong Kong and apply there.

Do we need to get a travel agency or we can just enter without any help from the agency?

GUESTRUTH	You can enter China as long as each of you has a valid Chinese visa. No need to pay travel agency!

APAULT Points: 5980 Join Date: Mar 11, 2006 Status: Offline	You do not appear to be an accreditred travel orgaaniser or you would know about this, so although acrredited groups from a few countries do not need visas, you certiinly will. Contact the Chinese consulate in Malaysia to check out special conditions for groups and any local rules (ie it varies from country to country)
