Sorry, GUEST19014. I am not sure about it. Perhaps, you can ask for help from Embassy of the P. R. China in Singapore. Here is the link: http://www.chinaembassy.org.sg/eng/lsqw/t165684.htm. BTW, the ports mentioned in Article 2 are ports of entry.

The rules say nothing to support that idea, but to be sure, just visit the office in HK and ask.

GUEST62641 Hello,
I will be traveling with my wife (a Taiwan national) to China. I understand my wife do not require a visa to enter China since she is a Taiwanese citizen holding a Taiwanese passport. Is this correct?

Thank you.

GUEST62641. According to the relevant law, your wife should have Mainland Travel Permit for Taiwan Residents if she wants to travel in mainland.

GUEST24478 I am a US citizen going on a cruise which includes Hong Kong and Taiwan, and I understand that I do not need a visa for those stops. In Vietnam, the cruiseline says that we can get a visa onboard. I can't find anyone who can tell me whether we have to have a visa for a stop in Sanya, China. We're only there for 4 hours. Thanks.

If you read back to what Jimmy posted atthe start of the thread, you will see that:
Guestalan - you will need a visa,
GuestKavin - Yuo need a visa
Guest24478 - Taiwan issues its own visas, separately from the PRC, HK you do not need a visa, and I think Jimmy's post says you will not need a visa for Sanya.
