Is it cheaper to fly to PVG from NRT or SFO?

guestMr. Traveler	I live in California. I am going to be studying abroad in Japan starting in September. I would also like to visit China. I was wondering if it would be cheaper to fly straight to China (in early September), stay for a couple weeks, then go to Japan. Or would it be cheaper to fly to Japan and then get a round trip ticket to china a little later in the year. The cheapest price I was able to find for the first option was $1080 for a ticket to China, the another $700 for a ticket to Japan from China. Can anyone help me out?

Normally, there are many discounts for intl' flight and it depends on when you buy it. There's still 9months ahead, I think you could ask the information a few months later so it will be correcter.
