Well, I refuse to answer questions where the questioner wants to be spoon-fed but doesn't want to give us a spoon.

Correct baron you are right, you are not a volcanologist

The Yellowstone Caldera is the largest volcanic system in North America. It has been termed a "super volcano" because the caldera was formed by exceptionally large explosive eruptions.
Not Hydro volcanic explosion as in a MAAR type of volcanic eruption.
The current caldera was created by a cataclysmic eruption that occurred 640,000 years ago, which released 240 cubic miles (1,000 km³) of ash, rock and pyroclastic materials.
The most violent known eruption, which occurred 2.1 million years ago, ejected 588 cubic miles (2,450 km³) of volcanic material A smaller eruption ejected 67 cubic miles (280 km³) of material 1.2 million years ago, forming the Island Park Caldera

And there lies the proof to my point! I almost fell asleep reading your boring lecture on volcanic activity, proving that different people find different topics interesting. This supports mine and Ellyse's original opinion that it is not possible to recommend places to others without knowing a little more information. To you, volcanoes are interesting. To me, I love them if they are spewing out red hot lava and hot ash, but if they are dormant and resemble any old lake in the ground, then I'd rather go for a decent roast duck.
