DONNACHA Points: 3 Join Date: Dec 10, 2008 Status: offline	budget travel from china to hong kong and from hong kong to vietnam hi, we are travelling to china into beijing on the 6th of jan 09 and travelling round china for a month (visa stay) and leaving from guilin (perhaps) to go to hong kong on the 3rd feb as we have accomodation booked for hong kong on the 3rd feb. we would greatly appreciate if any body could gve us information on budget travel from china to hong kong and in particular guilin to hong kong arriving in hng kong by the 3rd feb 09. Also if anybody has a way of getting from hong kong to vietnam please post it up also as we have a visa for vietnam from 16th feb, thanks

From Guilin you can catch a sleeper bus or train to Guangzhou or perhaps Shenzhen or HK perhaps. For a price guide, check the train section in TCG, there is a link higher on this page. From HK you can bus back to Nanning and then bus to Vietnam....but it will take time and you'd need a second visa entry to the mainland. HK is a good centre for budget flights. Ctrip and othere online sites have some specials
