In fact, there are many service apartments available for Canton Fair visitors.
For instance, I know one translation firm which also lease out service apartment , for an apartment of around 70 meter sq. only cost US$1200 if you lease for whole session, i.e. from Oct. 15-Nov. 4.

All the apartments also have kitchen, so you can cook your own food.
The apartments are located in nice neighbourhood, i.e. next to Guangzhou Gymnasium and Baiyun International Convention Center, the 2 major landmark in Guangzhou.
The disadvantage is that, it is not close to metro station or Pazhou hall in physical distance. But since there is highway link up the apartment and Pazhou Hall, and does not pass by city center, so you can always arrive in Pazhou by taxi in 15-20 min. since there is no traffic jam.
If you are not those who have to stick to metro and do not mind to take taxi, then in fact, maybe you would find the commuting time spend on the road is even less than those in city center.
The other disadvantage is that, it is not close to shopping center, if you need to go shopping, you need to take a taxi of about 5 min. to go to the shopping center.
So, if you are those who have to live in area close by everything, then maybe this is not your cup of tea. Yet, if you are those who are serious in doing business in Canton Fair, would like to find an apartment which is quiet, in nice environment, with reasonable price, and willing to take taxi to different places, then this should be a good choice.
What is more important is: the owner run translation and consultant business, so you do not need to worry about the language problem. Moreover, they have a special service, i.e. you can tell them the goods you are looking for and they can help you to check other suppliers which do not attend the canton Fair and also, help you to find out the location of wholesale market selling the goods you are looking for. This would especially helpful if you would like to buy small quantity and not able to find suppliers in Canton Fair who is willing to sell at such small quantity.
