Well, it is said that there were penguins in the North Pole. Later on, people living near the North Pole killed those penguins. Finally, they became extinct. I guess that Penguins in the South Pole wanna go to the North Pole. However, they can't cross equator area because it is so hot there.

I don't think heat is the issue.
We have penguins in Australia whose habitat is quite warm during the summer months..
It's just and awfully long way and a bet they don't even know about the North Pole when they have such a large playground in the south!
