I, 71 yr Grandmom, not wealthy, traveling alone, desires Sampan on Daning.
Usual Cruise Lines charging almost double for one person.
What are my chances of arriving in {Chongqing,https://www.travelchinaguide.com/cityguides/chongqing.htm} and gaining passage for a River cruise at a much less fee?
If I am unable to bargain such a rate,I'm open to enjoying the local areas.
Please advise me how to travel onward, i.e. Daning, perhaps Dam, to Yachang and fly to {Shanghai,https://www.travelchinaguide.com/cityguides/shanghai.htm}(also appreciate local interesting info).
Many, Many Thanks.
Grandmom

Well, you may refer to [tcgurl=http://www.travelchinaguide.com/cruise/]Yangtze River Cruise[/tcgurl] to see if there are some cheap tours.

PS: Have a look at [tcgurl=http://www.travelchinaguide.com/attraction/chongqing/]Chongqing Attractions[/tcgurl] and [tcgurl=http://www.travelchinaguide.com/attraction/shanghai/]Shanghai Attractions[/tcgurl] and wish you could find some interesting places to go.

GUESTLILY No, you do not need to pay 'almost full price', you just can pay your own share for half cabin on the cruiser. I handled this for several years, and all single traveler can get half cabin price. But the only limitation is the cruiser you can choose is few, not like in summer and fall. onetourchina.com|Contact.

if you are strapped for cash then I suggest you real all the reviews on this sight about alternatives to the expensive cruises and uncomfortable cheaper boats take the side trip on shennong xi from badong Y150 per person and then the hydrofoil from {Yichang,http://www.travelchinaguide.com/cityguides/hubei/yichang/} (bus to dam) to Wanzhou and bus to Chongqing or the reverse. bad time to be traveling. lots of fog so little visibility

GUESTLAKE Thanks for your suggestion. I believe it would be the perfect solution for me to view the landscape and not spend $800 for a 4 day cruise. I hope someone can assist me as to how to arrange this part of my journey. Most of the post online are prior to 2008 and I'm sure many things have changed.
I always appreciate experience/knowledge.
