I'm from Colombia,going to Suzhou at the end of August and would like to have some basic local information.

My home town:).. WEll a lovely city.One of Most suitable cities for living in China. It 's welknown for its gardens. It's also called "Eastern Venice". Also, it's impressed my the dramatic development.

Comparatively speaking, Suzhou is a small city in jiangsu province. It is very near from Shanghai, one can take an hour’s train or bus journey from Shanghai.
Suzhou is famed for gardens and silk. Among many gardens, Zhuozhengyuan (Humble Administrator's Garden) and Liuyuan (Lingering Garden) are the most famous. Do not miss these two gardens if you are interested in Chinese traditional architecture and culture.
