Single entry visa + Hainan
Aug 8, 2013 20:44
guestKaren I recently got a 30 day single entry L Visa in Hong Kong and am now in mainland China. I want to go to Hainan Island and then travel to Shanghai. Do I need to apply for another visa? I've read about exemptions for tour groups but I'm travelling solo.

GUEST6554 Hey, you won't apply one unless your 30 day single entry L is expired.

If you're planning to visit Hainan and Shanghai within those 30 days, then your current visa is OK, no need new one...

If you're planning Hainan after 30 days, then you'll need to be eligible (certain nationalities) for visa-free visit but must be within tour group (Google it for more info).

Cheers from HK,
Alex
