guest42373	Is there an expat community in Yantai? Are there any international schools in Yantai?

GUESTCHRRYPI	Yes, there is a much larger expat population now that Yantai Huasheng International School in Kaifaqu opened in 2016. This has drawn many foreigners both to work at teh school and for foreign companies to provide a place for their workers children to have an international education.

Before Yantai Huasheng International School opened there was a better and more established international school called Yew Wah.

They employ around 30/40 expat teachers from various countries around the world. These expats teachers are more inclusive and sociable with the expat community of Kai Fa Qu.

This school offers a better curriculum, better sporting and performing arts opportunities for students, and their students get acceptance from outstanding universities from around the world.

Yantai Huasheng School is a new built and therefore appealing to the eye, but don't be fooled, with 3 principles in the space of 2 years and staff receiving pay cuts, there is definitely something going wrong there. There was even a tragedy last year where two students lost their life on a school trip. The school was blasted for their dealing with the situation.
