合格 : expiration date ?

Hello,

I just bought a can of 王老吉 and found out that the date written on the can is 2014.02 (we are now in 2014.08).

I went back to the shop and said I wasn't happy, and the guy told me it is not the expiration date, but the fabrication date.

Is he lying? 合格 is written next to date, what does it mean in this context?

GUEST78434 大龙, the seller is right. The date printed on the can is the fabrication date. I drank it before. Its quality guarantee period is 18 months. If you still have doubt, you may ask someone who speak Chinese to confirm this.
