What if my stay is 73 hours.

guest30254 We are scheduled to arrive in Shanghai at 14:05 and want to depart at 15:10 73 hours later. Given the time it takes to get off the plane (and what if it is early) and the need to check in two hours ahead of time are we going to be Ok with the 73 hours from landing to take off.

I think you can make use of 72 hours free transit in Shanghai If you check in earlier than 73 hours. But I suggest you call Shanghai Airport Immigration Inspection at 0086-21-51105100 to confirm this.

check in 2-5 hours earlier to let the airport knows that you won't overstay in the city.
