Need to cancel study visa/res permit?
Mar 6, 2015 09:06
guest88226 I studied at an English university in china, who provided me with a residence permit (unlimited entry) visa. I withdrew from the University and returned home to the US. I got an email from the University saying that they will not refund my tuition fees until I hand my passport over to them so they can update it. problem is...I'm already in the US. Is it possible to go to the Chicago China embassy and cancel my visa/respermit so that I can get my tuition refund? what do I do?

GUEST80489 GUEST88226,

You don't need to cancel it. It will automatically become valid when it expires or when you apply for a new Chinese visa. And I don't think it is a good idea to give your passport to them. In my view, you'd better consult with your school and reach a peaceful agreement on your issue. You may ask how they update your visa/passport. If it is a must, then you may come to China and proceed the procedure together.
