Q visa or S?

guest15251 Am American who has been married to a Shanghainese for 1.5 yrs, who's still going through CR-1 Spouse Visa to reunite w/ me in Austin. Which visa shall I get after my 1-yr tourist visa has expired to go see her again? Thanks in advance.

If you plan to stay with her for long time, I think you should apply for Q1 type. It requires your passport, application form, passport photo, her invitation letter, copy of her Chinese ID card and your marriage certificate. After you get the Q1 type, you need to change it for a temporary resident permit within 30 days after you arrive. Please remember that you can't work under the resident permit.
