Travelling from Vancouver, Canada to Pudong, Shanghai

guestJennifer Hey guys, I'm planning to travel to Pu dong, Shanghai from Vancouver, Canada for some sightseeing and possibly buy some clothes. I'll probably only stay for 1 day and head back to Canada. Do I need to get a VISA to go there in this situation? If so, can anyone post a link to the VISA form because I can't seem to find what I'm suppose to get.

Also, flying back my ticket is a standby seat not confirmed so I'm not sure if there's another policy about that or not.

GUEST77990 In your case, you'd better apply for a L type in advance because you are not qualified for 72 hours free transit. In order to apply for a L type, you should provide round-trip air tickets and hotel booking except for your passport, application form and a recent passport photo. Stand-by air tickets are not ok.
