guest70186 Hi everyone,

Im planning a two month trip to China where i'll be living with my girlfriend in her Beijing apartment. Do i need a letter of invitation from her for my Chinese visa form?

Sorry If i'm sounding naive, this is my first time applying for a visa.

GUEST7889078 In your case, you should apply for a L type. It's better if she can send an invitation letter together with copies of her passport information page and valid visa. If she is a Chinese, Chinese ID copy is required.

Afer you receive the invitation letter and copies, you can apply for the L type directly from the Chinese consulate. You know, if you got the invitation letter, you needn't provide hotel booking and round-trip air tickets.

Still (I think) you need airline tickets to show your length of stay as normally the Chinese authority will grant a single entry of 30 days.
