Best approach to attain a unmarried partner visa
Jun 21, 2015 04:54
guestPico24 Hi, I was hoping I could get some advice as I'm struggling to find out how me and my partner can be together permanently in the UK.
Facts
I am a British born national
She is african
I have the better job and more commitments for it make sense to live together in the UK rather than Africa
We have been in a relationship for 12 months
During that time we have spent almost 6 months of that time together (vacations to Africa, she had a 6 month UK visitor visa where she stay with me in the UK)
We're currently apart
We want to apy for a more permanent visa where she can work also to continue our relationship
We're not ready for marriage and especially to satisfy visa requirements
Applying for a visitor visa might not be successful because one of the rules is using the visitor visa to effectively live in the UK
We can't apply for a partner visa as we haven't been co ha biting for 2 years.
If we can't get a suitable visa, then how can we cohabit for 2 years
We are 100% genuine
What visa can we apply for to live together and preferably work
Please help on how we can just be in a relationship together and preferably for her to work (this isn't driven for financial reasons but more for her to be active and to socialise easier with other people in the UK)

We would be very grateful for some advice

Thank you very much
