guest95164	we are US citizens traveling on a cruise. We will be visiting Shanghai (Baosan) for less than 10hrs, from Nagasaki, Japan. We will be leaving Shanghai for Okinawa. Can we tour Shanghai for a day tour without a tourist visa under the 24 hr visa free transit policy. No visa is required for foreigners who hold tickets to the final destination and have booked seats on international airlines, ships, trains transiting directly through China, and will stay for less than 24 hours and do not leave the specified transit area.

GUEST5473	guest95164, Yes, you can enjoy this free transit without visa as long as you stay less than 24 hours. However, you should confirm with your cruise ship. You know, previously a guy didn't make it even he is qualfied because his cruise ship didn't allow him to board. He didn't have valid Chinese entry visa.
