J2 Visa and onward travel
Jul 28, 2015 05:03
guestDave Hello there,

I will be going to Shanghai in October for work and will be covered under a J2 Visa for the 7 or 8 days I am there, I then intend on travelling on to Hong Kong for a few days for leisure purposes and flying back home from HK.

I know I don't need a visa to enter Hong Kong as I am a British National, but will there be any potential complications in terms of entry into china and the period I am covered to work there because I wish to travel on to HK?

Thanks in advance,

Dave

GUEST5654 Dave, if you go to HK after you finish your work in mainland, then you won't have any problem in entering HK. However, if your J2 is only a single-entry one, then you can't use it to come back to mainland.
