Hello,
I posted a few days ago about having a J2 Visa for a shorter duration than my planned trip to China. (I was going to stay an extra week as a tourist, but the visa duration ended up being issued a week too short).
However, if I fly to Hong Kong on the day my J2 Visa expires, spend 4 days there, and then fly back to Beijing mid-week. Will I have trouble getting a 72 hour Visa to spend 3 days in Beijing as a tourist?? And then depart from Beijing back home?
I have an AirBnB booked and paid for the entire week already in Beijing. I'm just worried there might be some rule about returning to Beijing so soon after my Visa expires, and getting denied the 72 hour Visa. Can you advise?

GUESTDAVE,
If you are from one of the 51 countries whose citizens are able to enjoy 72 hours free transit, then you can enjoy the transit when you arrive in Beijing. Your passport and return air ticket from Beijing to your country are required before you board the plane in HK.
