Is it possible to renew the visa for a further 30 days while in China?

guest14130	we plan to visit/holiday travelling around China for 120 days and it seems the maximum visa available is 90 days.

Yes, you can visit the entry and exit management in the city where you stay and ask for an extension. You'd better apply for the extension at least seven days before your current one expires. The required documents are:
1. valid passport with two blank pages and six months validity at least.
2. temporary accommodation registration form. If you stay at a hotel, the hotel can get this for you. If you stay at your friend's home, you should register at local police station in 24 hours with the accompany of your friend.
3. application form with a recent passport photo in white background.
4. hotel reservation and return air ticket.
