Hello, I am currently planning my trip to China for Feb 2006. I'll be spending some time in Macau, then 1 week at Hainan. Can someone please tell me if I should travel from Macau to Hong Kong, then to GuangZhou or Shenzhen, then to Hainan, or if there is a direct transportation from Macau to GuangZhou or Shenzhen to Hainan. Thanks.

I'm puzzled. Where are your destinations? Do you also want to visit HK, Shenzhen and Guangzhou ?

It's easy to go from Macao to Zhuhai( in Guangdong province) and then you take a flight from Zhuhai to Haikou.

get to quangzhou bus station and from there there are plenty of coach to haikou. i usually travel on the overnight coach from GZ to haiann, the ferry terminal, get the passenger ferry at 7am and you can see great sunrise, one quarter hour you are in haikou, from the fery htere are plenty of coach to sanya or five finger mountain, if you want ot get to the province, take the public bus or taxi to the each station from there you can get to all part of hainan.

There is direct flight from Macau to Haikou. Airline (Air Macau), flight No. NX172. If as you said you have to transfer those cities to get to Haikou, it will not save much money and not even time. Try other people's suggestion above for your consideration. and adjust your itinerary accordingly. Good luck
