Longji Rice Terraces and Dong villages with grandparents?

guest87194 Hi, our family of 7 is taking a 4-day trip to Guilin area, and we would like to see the Longji Rice terraces and Chengyang Dong villages. However, the grandparents cannot walk a lot. Can we see these places and avoid a lot of steps and walking? Can we drive from scenic area to scenic area? The grandparents don't mind staying at a cafe or rest stop for an hour while the rest of us wander a bit. Would that be possible?

Also, a tour operator was trying to discourage me from doing this and said that to go to the rice terraces, we would have to change cars twice to reach it, but I can't figure out why.

GUEST40882 Then you can only take a cable car to the observation deck to overlook the terraces. If you want to step in terraces, walking and climbing is must.
