As usual, we rented a car to travel around Italy which we find a necessity. Most of the time driving in Italy is fairly uncomplicated although larger cities and the Almafi coast can be challenging. Also, as always, our vacation this year revolved around food. Reading this year’s journal, as with my previous journals, it may seem that all we do is eat, and I must confess that we never miss a meal. But, we do try and balance these wonderful meals with a lot of walking, and I am pleased to say that I only gained two pounds on this year’s trip. I hope you enjoy my 2004 Culinary Journal and find some of the information I share helpful when planning your own trip to Italy. I will get all the accompanying photos up as soon as possible.
