Fuzhou Children's Orphanage

On my last day in Fuzhou, I paid a visit to the children's orphanage because I have friends in Canada who have adopted children from China, and I was inspired by their experiences with adopting from China. The orphanage is very clean, well-maintained, the children are lovely. I spent time playing with them, the older ones with learning disabilities. It was good to see that there are few babies there; supposedly less people are abandoning baby girls these days. The babies who are abandoned often have minor deformities such as cleft palates that can be corrected by minor surgery.
