Before you check into a hotel -General- | APAULT | Dec 17, 2006 00:38 GMT-6
1. Leave your bags in the rail/bus station while you look around. 2. Try to find out if there are are other hotels nearby so you know there are other options. 3. Ask to see the room before you pay. If it's a bit pricey for the standard or you simply want to bargain, look a bit unhappy, ask to see another or for a better price. 4. Check in for one night; if you are happy you can always extend. 5. If you know you are staying several days ask for a better price.

YMCA Internation Hotel Hong Kong | DAISY | Dec 10, 2006 00:30 GMT-6
The 2nd time when I came to Hong Kong for business, I chose YMCA (the whole name is Young Men's Christian Association)International Hotel in You Ma Tei.
It is a Christain hotel, so the price is a little bit cheaper comparatively.
What I like most is that it is renowned for her ideal location accessible to shopping arcades and commercial centres.
About 2-3 minuts bu foot, you can easily find the You Ma Tei Metro stop nearby.
And because near the Nathan Road, it would not take you much time to walk to the propersrous shopping area. During the 3 days, I always walked to the famous Beauty Street for some great and cheap clothes, shoes, bags, where you can find everything you want.
If you are a Christan, it is also easy for you to find some store which sells something related to Jesus, even different versions of Saint Bible.

Ibis in Hong Kong Hong Kong | DAISY | Dec 8, 2006 00:32 GMT-6
Been a France privated hotel, Ibis is located in North Point of Hong Kong Island, and it is really comprehensive though small.
Generally speaking, it's hard to find a 3-star hotel offering free breakfast in Hong Kong, but Ibis is, and the breakfast is great as well.
Many peopel for short business trip would choose Ibis, not only for its comprehensive and comfortable facility and service, but the convenient transportation as well. Just five minuts for you to get to the nearest metro stop on foot.
I would still choose Ibis for next trip.

Reasonable Hotel in Shanghai Shanghai | LEMONCACTUS | Oct 27, 2006 21:56 GMT-6
I recently stayed in Jinjiang Inn Shanghai by the Bund, Shanghai, China. Their address: 33 Fujian Rd(s), The Bund, Shanghai
Really well located in the Bund only 15 mins walk from the river and from Yuyuan Gardens area.
The staff are friendly, speak good English and can help with directions and information.
We paid 120RMB each for a twin room. It is large, clean and very comfortable. Excellent ensuite. I wouldn't usually pay this much, but I recommend it if there are 2 of you.
I have nothing bad to say about them! A great stay.
You can find them and book online here: http://reservations.bookhostels.com/cheap-hostels-in.com/hosteldetails.php/HostelNumber.17463/PHPSESSID.m5rdj21ncqueb9apbi3kifgac8yrri74?PHPSESSID=m5rdj21ncqueb9apbi3kifgac8yrri74

Tips on hotel reservation -General- | LITTLETREE | Mar 29, 2006 03:59 GMT-6
I received a phone call from a client this afternoon. He is rather angry, telling me that we booked the wrong hotel for him and wait for our free upgrade. Actually, we typed Gloria Inn as Gloria Plaza. But we marked the right price and right address in the email. He insisted on our free upgrade. Oh, my god! I apologized and said it is typo, but it does not work and the client even shouted to me! From the issue, I want to let everyone of you that China has plenty of hotels. These hotels may have minor differences in names. Sometimes it is inevitably to make some typos. What's more, the hotel may also confuse its English room type with Chinese name. For example: "Hao Hua Jian" is Deluxe room for most hotels. But for some one, it maybe translated to be "Superior room" by the hotel. So as a staff at a hotel booking center, I sincerely hope every client could understand our situation and we believe that with your support, we will do better!

Hainan is a nice place for relaxing, and Sanya is the best city in Hainan! Yalong Bay is the best beach in China, and the sand was white and soft. If you go there,Golden Kitool Hotel is a good choice, and it is a 4 stars hotel,at the seaside, near Yalong Bay!You can go the beach on foot from the hotel.
