maanshan cowboys bar (foreigner's club)    Anhui | FURIUTING | Apr 27, 2010 21:51 GMT-6

This is the place for laowais (foreigners) in Ma'anshan. A western bar with no pretensions, just a nice place to enjoy a drink while listening to music and make friends with chinese . The waitresses are gorgeous and the owner is a very friendly Chinese folk who knows every foreigner in town (i.e. 5 or 6, hehe). A must-visit for any visitor to this city that is clean and beautiful, graded one of the "10 green cities in China" by the Government.

Tell the taxi driver 'niuzai jiuba' (pronounced new-zei jouba) or you write '牛仔酒吧'. This means "Cowboy bar" and he'll know how to go. Never pay more than 9rmb for the ride.

Maanshan's Cowboy Bar, a foreigner's club, is the only western-style bar in Maanshan. We are located in the center of Maanshan (Chongyang Road). Cowboy Bar registered in early 2004 and is a trendy local hang-out. After several years of development, Cowboy Bar has become an international Western pub. Here you will experience a genuine Western Bar atmosphere. When you open the door, you will feel like you have entered your local bar. Friendly staff and international customers welcome you to join our family. Maanshan's Cowboy Bar is your friendly neighborhood pub.

Some stuff you should do in Guiyang    Guiyang | JLAWFORD | Oct 24, 2009 11:10 GMT-6

Nighttime is the time to be out in Guiyang. The city is a lot more attractive once the sun goes down and, generally speaking, has a better atmosphere too. Guiyang人 have a reputation for getting up/ starting work a bit late, and going to bed late too. As a result, its fun just to walk around.
Also good:
-Night market street food. From about 6元 you'll get some tasty stuff, and its more enjoyable than expensive restaurants a lot of the time.
- Coffee shops. Guiyang has increasing numbers of places that serve coffee.. some good, some bad, some just OK. I personally like the Createa chain (cheapish, busy, nicely decorated) and highlands coffee for its genuinely good tasting coffee (rare round here) and delicious cakes etc.
- river.. that area is pretty cool. Have a beer on at the pagoda (Jia Xu Lou.. can't remember the name) sadly they only serve "snow" which isn't the best Chinese beer.

Dance Club GOGO.    Tianjin | ASHIQUE82 | Nov 2, 2008 00:49 GMT-6

I totally agree with INTIANJIN's review. We went to a dance club named GOGO nearby the Olympic Football stadium. There we ordered two drinks each ,but a boy kept coming for more orders though we hadnt finished the earlier drinks. I was really outraged by this sort of behaviour and decided to get out of there! I've been to a few countries but haven't seen anything like that. So my advice if u go there just order ur drinks, finish it and walk out. Otherwise the place was cool.

Qingdao Sangrila Night Club    Qingdao | SHIVAH | Feb 12, 2008 16:54 GMT-6

One of the most interesting things I found in Qingdao was the night life. At the Shangrila Hotel on Hong Kong Middle Road on Wed. nights there is a "Salsa Night".

A live Columbian Band plays live music! I was amazed at how well people danced salsa! The atmosphere was happy and the people were very friendly. There is no cover charge and the dancing is incredible! The drinks are good too! it's a must see!

THE WAY INN , also known as Holland bar, is a very busy bar close to the centre. Beer, wine and cocktail bar. Famous for its mexican burritos and warm atmosphere. The bar is run by its dutch owner Tony and his chinese wife Jian. A great atmosphere, feels like going to a party. very casual. Almost every night Tony sings some english songs, very much appreciated by his customers. Good food and an impressive selection of sprits and cocktails. Pictures can be seen on their website www.lujincanba.cn .

indian restaurant in hutong    Beijing | MASALA | Sep 28, 2007 00:54 GMT-6

Many foreigners have come to know Nanluoguxiang in the capital's Dongcheng District after patronizing the Mirch Masala indian restaurant and plastered 8. One of the best persevered areas in Downtown Beijing, Nanluoguxiang is famous for its hutong and courtyards (siheyuan) but it is also now famed for the cafes and bars and clothing and handcraft shops that line its hutong laneways. Dubbed "another bar area besides Houhai, Workers' Stadium and Sanlitun," Nanluoguxiang is a perfect blend of past and present.Other distinctive bars in the area include: Xiao Xin's Cafe, Zha Zha Cafe and Hu Tong Er. Mirch Masala Opened by a young restaurentier Mr.Daya Delhi born, mirch masala is bright, serene and amiable. Most of the design was completed by the owner, who believes "a kitchen is more important than a living room." The Mirch masala has an artistic and romantic atmosphere, reflecting the interests of the owner.New restaurants featuring Yunnan, and Korean cuisines are now available.

bars part 4    Hangzhou | MOREHANGZHOU | Apr 13, 2007 04:55 GMT-6

Tornado Bar 龙卷风酒吧
24 Jiufanshu Rd. Wushan Square 吴山广场旧藩署路24号,7pm – 2am, 87019192
Three times a lady. First you get the dice. Second the beers. Third the skewers. A die is a die, and a beer is a beer, but the lamb skewers outside are stellar. The flies even have a hard time bothering anyone because they get stuck to the tables. It’s full of laughter and full of fun, and all for next to nothing. Read: cheap.

West Town 西部小镇
3 Lvyang Rd. 绿杨路3号(103 Nanshan Rd.南山路103号), 7pm - 3am, 87917615
Upon entering the door, you'll probably expect to see a few horses and chickens. Reminiscent of your Uncle Joe Bob's barn, this place attracts the younger crowd with more modern music than its neighbors. But be prepared to drink because they don't sell cheap singles on beer.

You To Bar You To酒吧
85 Shuguang Rd.曙光路85号, 6pm - 6am, 87976788
Packed! Laoyan started as a bartender back when there were maybe three bars in town, so needless to say he has quite a following. Wherever he is, it is packed. Early evenings are filled with football fans, and late evenings are the football fans full. Bottles of Absolute are cheap, and there is never a need to gamble on the place having people. Live music on the weekends.
