Wearing white is bad luck in China for the Bride?

Interesting, in many cultures you are only supposed/allowed to wear a white dress if you are a 'virgin bride'!

But quite funny, most of the White-dressed brides will also wear a pair of RED shoes. So u can the mixture of traditional & modern.
I was told that in my hometown, the bridegroom must invite all the people in the village. And we call it Liu Shui Xi. A group of people come and enjoy the feast, then another group of peolpe come and enjoy later. People come from noon to the dusk and even till the midnight!
If less people or no one come to enjoy, the bridegroom will considered to be 'no face'.

Thank God I don't live in my hometown now. lol

My hometown is Huxian County, the County of Peasant Painting nearby Xian City. It also near to the famous Zhong Nan Shan. Very beautiful! Welcome to visit!

I have seen many brides/grooms wearing white at the wedding where the marriage became...a long, slow death followed by a rebirth with divorce.

The white wedding gown is a western thing. It has nothing to do with traditional beliefs if the couples decided to go western.
