Yes they are made of plastic and usually they survive an hour in the washing machine. They don'g get soggy in the rain and as I said earlier, I believe there are no forgeries so far. perhaps I can give you one when I pass thru Shaanxi - one day I will.

We also started to use plastic money like yours. It is better than paper and not costly

I have heard that China Hongkong also has such plastic money. In that case they are a good choice.

I just came here to see Chinese currency, where as in 1953 and now 2011, I think difference is, now currency value going to upward.
