Four of us are planning a trip to China and will arrive in Shanghai on April 20th. We will be there about a week and plan to go to Ningbo for a couple days and visit one of the factories. We are thinking about getting someone to help us through the city while we are there and would want them to travel to Ningbo with us. Should we get someone when we arrive or try to line something up before? Also, how much should we plan on paying per day in addition to paying expenses? We think that it would be nice if we could get a college student that way it would probably be reasonable and it would help the student with the extra money. Any ideas?

I personally think that you'd better line something up before you arrive! In this way, you will not waste your travel time to seek for a guide!
College student is a perfect choice! Students are usually more sincere! And of course you can save some money!

Thanks for your thoughts. What is the best way to make contact with the university.? Do they have a web site that I may post on?
