 | Statistics shows that Chinese people spend averagely 11% of their income on surfing online while westerners spend only no more than 1%. I don't believe these numbers true as I myself spend only a little. How about you guys? |

| Actually the expense on internet varies based on different cities in China. In the place where I live, the 10M internet broadband by optical fiber costs CNY40.00 (about 5 US dollars) per month. But It is my parents who pay for it cauz they use the computer to get online often, but I seldom. |

| I pay $40 per month in Canada for high speed (ADSL). That's about 1-2% of the average income. |

| Now that I am travelling in China I spend about 120rmb a month...that's in the north where it is cheap. Cheaper than having my own pc and broadband in fact, but TERRIBLE for the health....lung cancer is a real danger :( |

| I'm in Australia, costs similar to Canada 1 -2 % of income, depends on income and type of internet connection. |

| I believe most Chinese people spend over 5% of their income but less than 10%. But yes, it depends on the income. In China, prices of different connections /in different regions may not differ that much as income. My opinion only. |
