The source says that Baidu (China's biggest internet search provider) has launched its Japanese Language service in Japan to compete with Yahoo and Google. Some analysts say that Yahoo Japan takes about 60 percent market share in Japan, Google Japan about 40 percent. Baidu's launch in Japan raises a question for Japan---Why does Japan fail to produce its own internet services?

To search Chinese info, Baidu is very convenient and comprehensive. However, if you want to find some materials in English, Baidu can't offer much help. For me, I usually use Baidu to search info in Chinese and Google to find English materials.

Have you ever used Baidu to search what you need? How do you view Baidu's future in Japan?
