Another English team Chelsea also beat their rival Fenerbahce 2 to 0 to win a place in the semi-finals. More exciting, Liverpool and Chelsea will meet in the semi-finals. I watched both games on the television in my local pub, the Liverpool v Arsenal game got most of my attention though, it started poorly for Liverpool and it looked like Arsenal would beat
them easy, then it went in Liverpools favour 2-1 until late in the game when Arsenal equalised meaning that they would go through on the away goals rule but within a minute Liverpool were
awarded a penalty and the they broke away and scored their fourth goal, the Liverpool fans in the pub were jumping for joy and the Arsenal fans were crying in their beer, the Chelsea
fans were also very happy.
I will back in the pub tonight to cheer on Man Utd as they aim to make it 3 English teams in the semi finals, I will drink to that, cheers.

Alan, you can celebrate now. As you predicted, three English teams gather together during the semi-finals. Manchester United defeated Rome and will meet Barca during the semi-finals.

Tevez headed the ball into the net.

Yes Kevin, I would have celebrated but I was feeling quite ill last night, so I took it steady with the beer, as for the match, it was a bit dull, Ronaldo didn't play and Rooney only came on as a
Sub, Tevez took his goal very well though.
Rio Ferdinand finish the first half with blood oozing out of his right boot and required stitches in hi foot before carrying on in the second half

Did he hurt badly? Hope he can recover soon. Barca is not an easy rival to deal with. Obviously, Manchester United just conserved their strength for the semi-finals so that Ronaldo and Rooney didn't appear in the game. For the semi-finals, who do you think will get the tickets to the final, Alan? My guess is that Liverpool and Manchester United. Liverpool plays very well during the Championships. Manchester United are also in condition.

Hi Jimmy.
I will be watching the final on tv, the final is being played in Moscow, I would rather keep going towards China never mind the football.
As for Rio Ferdinand don't know, I heard he had 14 stitches in his foot, I think he will still play on Sunday when Man Utd play Arsenal in the premiership yet another big match they also
play Chelsea very soon so the Premiership will be decided soon, Utd are 3 points above Chelsea at the moment.
I'm more worried about my team Bristol Rovers since our FA Cup run we have struggled and are only 5 points from going down, if I had hair I would be pulling it out, he he

Alan, do you mean that you will go to China to see your Jing? Wish you had a happy stay in Hunan (She is in Hunan, isn't she?) You may watch the final with her together on TV. Ferdinand has had 14 stitches in his foot. How could he play against Arsenal? He must be an ironman. Manchester United are 3 points above Chelsea? They should play harder or Chelsea might seize the champion from their hands. Hehe. Just pray for your team, Alan. God shouldn't disappoint you. Haha.

Hi Kevin, Man Utd beat Arsenal 2-1 and Ferdinand played, Ronaldo scored goal no 38 for the season and Utd are now 6 points above Chelsea, Chelsea play tonight, come on Wigan!
As for my team I pray all the time but it does no good I'm afraid!
I would love to go back to China to be with Jing, I miss her so much, she is currently working away from Hunan Province and we have to rely on e-mails and a few phone calls.

Wow! Congratulations to Manchester United and Ferdinand! I don't how many games Man. United need to play. But it seems that they are very close to the champions. I wonder if Ferdinand has recovered. With 14 stitches in his foot, he still could play. Really an ironman! Ronaldo has scored 38 goals so far? Amazing! After Beckham left Man. United, I thought that they had lost the backbone. Now it has proved that I was wrong. Ronaldo has taken over Beckham's place. Good job, C. Ronaldo!

Alan, write more emails and call her more frequently. I am sure that she must miss you very much too. Wish you could bring her to UK smoothly. Then you needn't be apart from each other.
