Flip flops catching on in China?

I have a pair of ridiculously high heeled flip flops (3 1/4 inches) which are very difficult and painful to walk in. I certainly walk hobbled when I wear them as if I was a prisoner with leg irons on my ankles. But sigh ! I love them (they's so cute and sexy and expensive) so I guess I'm not completely free from the bondage of male fashion shoe designers.
