Hello everyone, soon I will be leaving for a one month trip through Southwestern China and was wondering if any experienced travelers had some good information or suggested iteneraries. I am very new to traveling. I am from the states and currently I live in japan(so i have minimal experience).
I am looking to hit Yuanyang, yangshuo, and the stone forest. Other than that I am open for any other off-the-beaten-path adventures. Is anyone willing to send me their old travel paths? Places to stay, busses to take, things to do, unknown hide-aways and scenic areas, any advice at all would be such a blessing. I appreciate all the help, everyone, thank you.

Route I followed in Yunnan province for 2 weeks in January 2008: Kunming -- Zhongdian -- Deqin -- Meilixueshan & Mingyong -- Lijiang -- Yuanmou -- Yuanyang -- Kunming
