Things to do around the Shangxiajiu Pedestrian street

I'm staying at the Shangjiu Wang hotel at 46 Shangjiu rd Liwan district. I am interested in temples, and Chinese historical places, I can't find a good tourist map that would show me places close by that is in english. thanks

Don't you have a guidebook? Lonely Planet and the like have English-language maps. Or else, try the Frommers map (http://www.frommers.com/images/destinations/maps/jpg/3390_guanzhou.jpg), the legend for the map is at http://www.frommers.com/images/destinations/maps/jpg/3390_ghuanzhoukey.jpg. Yes, whoever made those maps up for the website misspelt the names grossly!
I doubt there's very much in the way of what you want within easy walking distance, learn how to use the metro to get around.
