As my partner is a traditional Chinese therapist and I have "benefitted" from her skills, I can tell you that traditional Chinese massage can be painful and in no way erotic. However, it does seem to work :) The price depends on where you are, the size of the establishment and if they are genuine therapists or simply a front for "other" services. I would expect anywhere from 100 yuan upwards. As a guide, a genuine therapist will also be offering acupuncture, cupping and other treatments.

In responding to Neils, I have the experience of Chinese massage in Guangzhou. The place is not far from the GD Provincial People's Hospital. The therapists were good. Not really far from Metro's Martyrs Park station. The cost is 80RMB per hour, and 100RMB per hour during their rest hours. The establishment provides both ladies and men therapists. You can choose hard or soft massage.
