MARKYUK Points: Join Date: Jan 26, 2010 Status: offline	Hello i am spending 4 nights 3 days in Bejing in October before boarding a ship im intrested in seeing the Great wall i would like to know the best way either by tour or by myself also how to get there and what part is the best to go to as i have herd there are a few differnt places to vist along the wall, i only want a 1 day tour there as we will be visiting other places lke the zoo etc... ELLYSE Points: Join Date: Oct 30, 2005 Status: Offline	Zoo? Go for the pandas and nothing else. Otherwise, skip it. For the Wall, go for Mutianyu if you're going for half a day (vehicle hire) or Jinshanling-Simatai if you can afford a full day of hiking.

ELLYSE Points: Join Date: Oct 30, 2005 Status: Offline	The Jinshanling-Simatai hike is doable in about 3-5 hours. However the drive takes about 3 hours each way. But if you need something that's easier on your feet, go for Mutianyu as I already said, half day!
